WestEdge is a 50 acre urban mixed use development project sponsored and led by the WestEdge Foundation, an non-profit with participation from the City of Charleston and the Medical University of South Carolina (“MUSC”) Foundation. The WestEdge Foundation retained Gateway Development Services (see www.gatewayventuresre.com), South City Partners (see www.southcitypartners.com) and WRS Realty (see www.wrsrealestate.com) for master planning and infrastructure development services and vertical development of 10, 22 and 99 (The Caroline) WestEdge. ELV Associates (www.elvassoc.com) is a limited partner investor in 10, 22 and 99 WestEdge. Commencing its master planning in July 2013 and it’s development efforts in 2014, the WestEdge participating members have invested over $350 million in 587 residential apartments, 155,000 square feet of office and research space, 100,000 square feet of retail space, 1,900 structure parking spaces and associated infrastructure and – in the process – have transformed the west side of the Charleston peninsula.
