Horizon TIF District Support
A TIF is not quite a tax break, but here is coverage from the Post & Courier regarding the extension of the Horizon TIF District following City Council’s June 17th meeting. All parties have agreed that this project is an appropriate use of continued TIF support, and that the long-term payoff is worth the extension. The City of Charleston extended the time frame by 10 years, and the County of Charleston and the Charleston County School District are extending their involvement for 5 years.
